How to Install Win32DiskImager Silently

Win32DiskImager Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to:
  2. Download the win32diskimager-x.y.z-install.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: win32diskimager-x.y.z-install.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you will find Win32DiskImager entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create a Win32DiskImager Installation Log File

The Win32DiskImager installer offers the option to generate a log file during installation to assist with troubleshooting should any problems arise. You can use the following commands to create a verbose log file with details about the installation.

Change the Win32DiskImager Default Installation Directory

Include Win32DiskImager Desktop Shortcut During Install

The Win32DiskImager installer does NOT create a desktop shortcut by default. If you want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to include it.
