Notion Silent Install (How-To Guide)

How to Install Notion Silently

Notion Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://www.notion.so/desktop
  2. Download the EXE to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: "Notion Setup x.y.z.exe" /S /D="%ProgramFiles%\Notion"
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the Notion Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

You can also change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing Notion to “C:\Notion”

"Notion Setup x.y.z.exe" /S /D=C:\Notion

How to Uninstall Notion Silently

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Enter one of the following commands:

Notion Silent Uninstall (EXE) – Program Files

"%ProgramFiles%\Notion\Uninstall Notion.exe" /S

Notion Silent Uninstall (EXE) – User Profile

"%LocalAppData%\Programs\Notion\Uninstall Notion.exe" /S
