  1. Navigate to: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vs_Community.exe
  2. Download the vs_Community.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command to extract the setup files:
    • vs_Community.exe --layout .\vs_Community
  6. Press Enter
  7. Navigate to the C:\Downloads\vs_Community folder
