TeamViewer Silent Install (How-To Guide)

How to Install TeamViewer Silently

TeamViewer 32-bit Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_15x/TeamViewer_Setup.exe
  2. Download the TeamViewer_Setup.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: TeamViewer_Setup.exe /S
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the TeamViewer Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

TeamViewer 64-bit Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_15x/TeamViewer_Setup_x64.exe

Change the TeamViewer Default Installation Directory

You can change the default installation directory by using the following NSIS command-line parameters. In this example, I’m installing TeamViewer to “C:\TeamViewer”

TeamViewer_Setup.exe /S /D=C:\TeamViewer

Disable TeamViewer Auto Update

Disable TeamViewer 32-bit Auto Update on 32-bit Systems

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Enter the following commands:
REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer" /v AutoUpdateMode /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f
REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\TeamViewer" /v UpdateCheckInterval /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
cmd /c "net stop "TeamViewer" && net start "TeamViewer""
