How to Install TablePlus Silently

  1. Navigate to:
  2. Download the TablePlusSetup.exe file to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: TablePlusSetup.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the TablePlus Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create a TablePlus Installation Log File

The TablePlus installer offers the option to generate a log file during installation to assist with troubleshooting should any problems arise. You can use the following commands to create a verbose log file with details about the installation.

Change the TablePlus Default Installation Directory

You can change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing TablePlus to “C:\TablePlus”

Exclude Desktop Shortcut During TablePlus Install

The TablePlus installer creates a desktop shortcut by default. If you don’t want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to exclude it.

Disable TablePlus Auto Update Check

By default, TablePlus will prompt the user after launching the application a few times if they want to check for updates automatically. To prevent this popup, you can add the following registry keys.

  • Run the following commands once for each user:
REG ADD "HKCU\SOFTWARE\TablePlus\TablePlus\WinSparkle" /v DidRunOnce /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
REG ADD "HKCU\SOFTWARE\TablePlus\TablePlus\WinSparkle" /v CheckForUpdates /t REG_SZ /d 0 /f
