Syncovery Silent Install (How-To Guide)

Syncovery allows you to keep multiple versions of modified files, allowing you to restore your files from an earlier date. The restore date can be chosen for individual files or multiple files in the Restore Wizard. This article will serve as an informative guide and give you a clear understanding of how to perform a silent installation of Syncovery from the command line using the EXE installer.

How to Install Syncovery Silently

Syncovery 32-bit Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://www.syncovery.com/release/SyncoverySetup.exe
  2. Download the SyncoverySetup.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: SyncoverySetup.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the Syncovery Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create a Syncovery Installation Log File

The Syncovery installer offers the option to generate a log file during installation to assist with troubleshooting should any problems arise. You can use the following commands to create a verbose log file with details about the installation.

Exclude the Syncovery Desktop Shortcut During Install

The Syncovery installer creates a desktop shortcut by default. If you do not want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to exclude it.
