How to Install Scratch for Arduino (S4A) Silently

  1. Navigate to: http://s4a.cat/
  2. Select the Downloads tab
  3. Select the Windows link
  4. Download the S4Axx.zip to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  5. Extract the S4Axx.exe from the zip file and copy to C:\Downloads
  6. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  7. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  8. Enter the following command: S4Axx.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  9. Press Enter

After a few moments you will find S4A entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create an Installation Log File

The Scratch for Arduino (S4A) installer does not create a desktop shortcut by default. If you want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to include it.
