RDP-Manager allows you to keep track of multiple remote desktop connections. This article will serve as an informative guide and give you a clear understanding of how to perform a silent installation of RDP-Manager from the command line using the EXE installer.

How to Install RDP-Manager Silently

RDP-Manager Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Download the RDP-Manager Installer
  2. Download the file to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command:
    • rdp-manager.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should find RDP-Manager entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create an Installation Log File

The RDP-Manager installer offers the option to generate a log file during installation to assist with troubleshooting should any problems arise. You can use the following commands to create a verbose log file with details about the installation.

Change Default Installation Directory

You can also change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing RDP-Manager to “C:\RDP-Manager”

rdp-manager.exe /DIR="C:\RDP-Manager" /VERYSILENT /NORESTART

Include Desktop Shortcut During Install

The RDP-Manager installer does NOT create a desktop shortcut by default. If you want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to include it.

How to Uninstall RDP-Manager Silently

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator

"%ProgramFiles%\Cinspiration\RDP-Manager\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
