OrgCharting Silent Install (How-To Guide)

OrgCharting is a professional organizational chart software not only for visualizing company organizational structure, but also for workforce planning and management. It has an easy interface that allows users to create org charts with simply mouse clicking or data file generation. How to Install OrgCharting Silently

  1. Navigate to:
  2. Download the orgchartcreator_setup_fullxxxx.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Manually Install OrgCharting to extract the offline installer
  4. Navigate to the “C:\Users\Public\Documents\Edraw\” folder
  5. Copy the offline installer orgchartcreator_fullxxxx.exe to the “C:\Downloads” folder
  6. Manually Uninstall OrgCharting
  7. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  8. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  9. Enter the following command: orgchartcreator_fullxxxx.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  10. Press Enter

After a few moments you will find OrgCharting entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create an Installation Log File

The OrgCharting installer offers the option to generate a log file during installation to assist with troubleshooting should any problems arise. You can use the following command to create a verbose log file with details about the installation.

Change Default Installation Directory

You can also change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing OrgCharting to “C:\OrgCharting”

orgchartcreator_fullxxxx.exe /DIR="C:\OrgCharting" /VERYSILENT /NORESTART

Include Desktop Shortcut During Install

The OrgCharting installer does not create a desktop shortcut by default. If you want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to include it.

How to Uninstall OrgCharting Silently

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Enter one of the following commands:

"%ProgramFiles%\EdrawSoft\OrgCharting\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT /NORESTART

OrgCharting Silent Uninstall (EXE) on 64-bit System

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\EdrawSoft\OrgCharting\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
