How to Install OpenTTD Silently

OpenTTD 32-bit Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Download the OpenTTD 32-bit Installer
  2. Download the file to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: openttd-x.x.x-windows-win32.exe /S
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the OpenTTD Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

You can also change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing OpenTTD to “C:\OpenTTD”

OpenTTD 32-bit (EXE)

openttd-x.x.x-windows-win32.exe /S /D=C:\OpenTTD

OpenTTD 64-bit (EXE)

openttd-x.x.x-windows-win64.exe /S /D=C:\OpenTTD

How to Uninstall OpenTTD Silently

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Enter the following command:

OpenTTD Silent Uninstall (EXE)

"%ProgramFiles%\OpenTTD\uninstall.exe" /S
