NFOPad Silent Install (How-To Guide)

NFOPad is a small, fast and flexible combined nfo viewer and text editor. It is a clone of Microsoft’s Notepad, but much more customizable and with some additional features. This article will serve as an informative guide and give you a clear understanding of how to perform a silent installation of NFOPad from the command line using the EXE installer.

How to Install NFOPad Silently

NFOPad Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://truehumandesign.se/s_nfopad.php
  2. Download the nfopadXX.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: nfopadXX.exe /S
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you will find NFOPad entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Additional Configurations

Change the NFOPad Default Installation Directory

You can change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing NFOPad to “C:\NFOPad”.

nfopadXX.exe /S /D=C:\NFOPad

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Enter one of the following commands:

NFOPad Silent Uninstall (EXE) on 32-bit System

"%ProgramFiles%\NFOPad\uninstall.exe" /S

NFOPad Silent Uninstall (EXE) on 64-bit System

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\NFOPad\uninstall.exe" /S
