Lenovo Quick Clean Silent Install (How-To Guide)


The Lenovo Quick Clean application allows healthcare professionals to lock keyboard and mouse input so the laptop keyboard can be wiped down to sanitize the device. The user can use the default 2 minute timer or specify an amount of time to lock out input. If the user finishes cleaning before the timer expires, pressing FN key plus Right Shift will exit the cleaning mode. How to Install Lenovo Quick Clean Silently

  1. Navigate to: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds540666-lenovo-quick-clean-for-windows-10-thinkpad
  2. Download the lenovo_quick_clean_x.y.z.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: lenovo_quick_clean_x.y.z.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you will find Lenovo Quick Clean entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Include the Lenovo Quick Clean Desktop Shortcut During Install

The Lenovo Quick Clean installer does not create a desktop shortcut by default. If you want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to include it.
