Input Director Silent Install (How-To Guide)

Input Director enables the control of multiple Windows systems using the keyboard/mouse attached to one computer. Switch control between systems either by hotkey or by moving the cursor to the screen edge on one computer for it to appear on the next one. Input Director supports a shared clipboard – copy on one computer, switch control, and paste. This article will serve as an informative guide and give you a clear understanding of how to perform a silent installation of Input Director from the command line using the EXE installer.

How to Install Input Director Silently

Input Director Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://www.inputdirector.com/downloads.html
  2. Download the InputDirector.vx.y.z.zip to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Extract the contents of InputDirector.vx.y.z.zip to C:\Downloads
  4. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  5. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  6. Enter the following command: InputDirector.vx.y.z.Setup.exe /S
  7. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the Input Director Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Change the Input Director Default Installation Directory

You can change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing Input Director to “C:\Input Director”.

InputDirector.vx.y.z.Setup.exe /S /D=C:\Input Director
