GraphiCode GC-Prevue Silent Install (How-To Guide)

GC-Prevue is a powerful Gerber viewer created by GraphiCode. GC-Prevue reads all common CAD generated electronic manufacturing outputs including Gerber, Barco DPF, Excellon, Sieb and Meyer, HPGL and HPGL2. This article will serve as an informative guide and give you a clear understanding of how to perform a silent installation of GraphiCode GC-Prevue from the command line using both the EXE & MSI installers.

How to Install GraphiCode GC-Prevue Silently

GraphiCode GC-Prevue 32-bit Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://www.graphicode.com/gc-prevue_gerber_viewer
  2. Purchase license if you do not already own one as GC-Prevue is no longer free
  3. Download the gcprevue.zip to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  4. Extract the contents of gcprevue.zip to “C:\Downloads\gcprevue”
  5. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  6. Navigate to the “C:\Downloads\gcprevue” folder
  7. Enter the following command: setup.exe /S /v"ALLUSERS=1 /qn"
  8. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the GC-Prevue Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
