How to Install FreeMat Silently

FreeMat 4.2 Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Download the FreeMat 4.2 Installer
  2. Download the file to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command:
    • FreeMat-4.2-Setup.exe /S
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you will find FreeMat entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Change Default Installation Directory

You can also change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing FreeMat to “C:\FreeMat”

FreeMat-4.2-Setup.exe /S /D=C:\FreeMat

How to Uninstall FreeMat Silently

  1. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  2. Enter one of the following commands:

FreeMat Silent Uninstall (EXE) on 32-bit System

"%ProgramFiles%\FreeMat\Uninstall.exe" /S

FreeMat Silent Uninstall (EXE) on 64-bit System

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\FreeMat\Uninstall.exe" /S
