How to Install the Bitvise SSH Client Silently

  2. Download the BvSshClient-Inst.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  3. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  4. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  5. Enter the following command: BvSshClient-Inst.exe -acceptEULA
  6. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the Bitvise SSH Client Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Change Default Installation Directory

You can change the default installation directory by using the following command line parameters. In this example, I’m installing Bitvise SSH Client to “C:\Bitvise SSH Client”

BvSshClient-Inst.exe -acceptEULA -installDir="C:\Bitvise SSH Client"

Exclude Bitvise SSH Client Desktop Shortcut During Install

The Bitvise SSH Client installer creates a desktop shortcut by default. If you don’t want the desktop shortcut, then you can run the following command line switches to exclude it.

Disable Bitvise SSH Client Auto Update Check
