How to Install Azure Data Studio Silently
Microsoft Azure Data Studio Silent Install (EXE)
- Navigate to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/azure-data-studio/download-azure-data-studio
- Select Windows System Installer
- Download the EXE to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
- Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
- Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
- Enter the following command:
azuredatastudio-windows-setup-x.x.x.exe /VERYSILENT /NORESTART /MERGETASKS=!runcode
- Press Enter
After a minute or so you should see the Azure Data Studio shortcut in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

Create an Installation Log File
The Azure Data Studio installer offers the option to generate a log file during installation to assist with troubleshooting should any problems arise. You can use the following commands to create a verbose log file with details about the installation.

Include Azure Data Studio Desktop Shortcut During Install
