Avidemux Silent Install (How-To Guide)

How to Install Avidemux Silently

Avidemux 32-bit Silent Install (EXE)

  1. Navigate to: https://sourceforge.net/projects/avidemux/files/avidemux/
  2. Select the version of your choice under Parent Folder
  3. Download the avidemux_x.y.z_win32.exe to a folder created at (C:\Downloads)
  4. Open an Elevated Command Prompt by Right-Clicking on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator
  5. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  6. Enter the following command: avidemux_x.y.z_win32.exe /S
  7. Press Enter

After a few moments you should see the Avidemux Desktop Shortcut appear. You will also find entries in the Start Menu, Installation Directory, and Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

    • Note: Don’t use the Avidemux_x.y.z VC++ 64bits.exe as it doesn’t work in silent mode

  5. Navigate to the C:\Downloads folder
  6. Enter the following command: avidemux_x.y.z_win64.exe /S
  7. Press Enter
